Vicon Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Cemtrex, Inc. (Nasdaq: CETX, CETXP, CETXW), designer and manufacturer of video surveillance and access control software, hardware, and components, announced today its Roughneck Pro 32MP Multi-Sensor was named winner in Security Today’s 2022 New Product of the Year Multi-Sensor category.
The Security Today New Product of the Year Award honors the outstanding product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security.
“As end user demand for Multi-Sensor technology grows, many of the industry’s most distinguished manufacturers are introducing these cameras into their portfolios,” said Haim Shain, Vicon’s Senior Vice President of Product Management. “Being selected as a top performer in this category solidifies Vicon’s commitment to innovation and the value of our technology, and I’m proud of the dedicated teamwork that has led to this recognition,” added Shain.
The NDAA-compliant Roughneck Pro 32MP Multi-Sensor is one of the only Multi-Sensors in the industry with 4k varifocal lenses, remote positioning, and advanced imaging, including Starlight low-light imaging and IR illumination (131 ft.).
Vicon’s biggest competitive advantage when it comes to the award-winning Multi-Sensor is the cameras’ remote positioning, which allows end users to quickly and easily configure each sensor in minutes, right from a PC. It conveniently offers a variety of default presets, but users can also create their own custom fields of view. Each sensor offers independent pan, tilt and zoom for fast, simple configuration, eliminating the need for on-site technicians and bucket trucks just to reposition a camera.
“After hosting this New Product of the Year program, I am struck with the intense effort by manufacturers, who exceed last year’s entries. We are fortunate to have so many entries and applaud every entrant for their ingenuity and painstaking efforts to ensure the security business is meeting technology challenges,” said Ralph C. Jensen, editor in chief of Security Today magazine. “New Product of the Year confirms to me that the best and the brightest are completely invested in their craft and have strategic plans to bring new technology to the forefront.”
Vicon’s Multi-Sensor was also recognized by the Security Industry Association in their New Product Solutions award program at ISC West in 2022.
