WaveSense: The new touch-free way to call for assistance

Talkaphone’s new WaveSense technology is designed to reduce bacterial and viral spread in facility entryways. With the WaveSense solution, employees, vendors, and visitors have a touch-free method to initiate two-way communication. 

The technology behind WaveSense is innovative and uses infrared sensors to detect the presence of a person up to 6 feet away. When someone approaches the call station, the sensors activate, allowing for two-way communication without the need for physical contact. This minimizes the risk of spreading bacteria and viruses, making it a smart solution for organizations looking to enhance the hygiene and safety of their facilities.

In addition to new installations, the WaveSense technology can also be retrofitted to existing Talkaphone call stations, including the VOIP-200, VOIP-500, and VOIP-600 Series IP Call Stations. This provides organizations with an easy and cost-effective way to upgrade their existing infrastructure with the latest technology.

Moreover, the WaveSense Contactless Solution can also be integrated with an access control system. This provides a touch-free method for door access, further reducing the risk of bacterial and viral spread.

It is important to note that WaveSense is not just limited to facility entryways. It can also be used in other high-traffic areas, such as elevators, lobbies, and public restrooms.

For new installations, the VOIP-200 Series IP Call Stations are available with built-in WaveSense technology and support audio and/or video provided by the call station. The WaveSense Contactless Solution can also be installed next to existing Talkaphone call stations including the VOIP-200, VOIP-500, and VOIP-600 Series IP Call Stations.

The contactless solution can also be installed independently and interface with an access control system—providing a dry contact for door access or contactless door opening.
